"Woody"

Hi, I'm Woody. I'm one of Katie's puppies and about to celebrate my 1st birthday on December 16th! I was born to my beautiful mother Katie last year at this time in rescue. My mom is a full doberman and my pop was a German Shepherd (which you probably guessed). I was adopted but returned in hopes of finding a home with another dog or two to play with and keep me busy. I have lived in a home with a kitty and would be happy to give yours an interview. Don't be thrown off by the fact that I can curl up in this chair - my legs go on for days. I will be a pretty good sized boy when my body catches up with my legs. They say I have a submissive personality- whatever that means. But I think it means that I like ALL dogs and would be great with children. I already know some basic obedience but I'm interested in learning more. If your interested in giving me a birthday present and a Christmas present all in one package - adopt me! I'm a great boy and just need a home of my own.

"Rebel"

Rebel is a very playful boy that needs a good home where someone can enjoy him. Rebel gets along well with small dogs, large dogs and cats. He is friendly to all people. Currently rebel is in the home of a rescue person, but needs the attention he can only get from having his "very own owner". If you are looking for love, devotion and a playmate - he's your boy. "Mesha"

Mesha is a two year old Rotti-Dobe mix. She was found living on the streets in the Bahamas with hardly a hair left on her body. She was extremely emaciated, scared to death and had large gashes and cuts on the bottoms of her feet. But Mesha was lucky enough to be spotted by a wonderful lady who caught her and took her to safety. To quote her guardian angel in the Bahamas "Mesha had no idea she was meant to be man's best friend". Once she was well enough to travel, this same lady sent her to us in New Orleans where she will continue to learn that people can be kind and love her and where she will be adopted into a loving family. In the past six months Mesha has received the medical care she needed and has been attended by loving hands. Although Mesha is still tentative and stands mostly at a slight distance from us, she smiles and wags her tail and on occasion runs up and bestows two tiny little licks before retreating again. Its a bit like a drive-by licking. Fortunately Mesha now loves treats more than she fears the person holding them and so the road to Mesha's continued recovery is now paved with liver snaps. Mesha still has two tiny spots of demodex mange which will be cleared up in a few weeks. Her socialization is coming along beautifully and we feel in a couple of months Mesha will be ready for a home of her own. Mesha is wonderful with dogs of all sizes and loves to play. A perfect home for her would be one with gentle patient human family members and playful canine ones. Mesha is very quiet, crate trained and most always has a big smile on her face. I suppose she is thinking - this is just too good to be true. We are excited to know that there is one other truly wonderful thing in store for her - her own family.
